Wife just bought a Galaxy Tab 7 3G + Wifi, since she feels that her 10" netbook is getting heavier to lug around.
Now the problem is, this Tab is a GSM model, and we subscribed to CDMA based Internet plan, we can't use the CDMA RUIM card on the Tab's. Buying a GSM Internet Plan when we are out of house is an unjustified cost in the long run.
The solution is to buy a mobile wireless router aka mifi, Venus A10E, a 2400 mAH battery powered portable wireless router . So we did. It is compatible with many CDMA and GSM USB modems.
And now we have our personal hotspot everywhere we go, even in the car, secure and reliable.

For home usage, I remove the battery and connect it to home router for better coverage area and use a modem antenna for better reception.
Already tried in a moving car, and it's awesome ( pictures coming soon).,
